VenMx is an annual bushwalking event open to Venturers of all Regions.  VenMx starts when you arrive at the campsite on Friday night. The campsite location is unknown until just prior to arrival. On arrival, packs are weighed, and maps with route instructions are handed out. Saturday morning, pack contents are checked (so you know that you have all the essentials), the proposed route is confirmed and hiking commences through some of the most spectacular scenery available in South-east Queensland ending at a different campsites each day.

VenMX is designed for many levels of participation:

  1. The Expedition Introduction. For Venturer teams hiking with daypacks containing essential items, either coached by a Rover or Leader, or hiking on their own. Participation in activities along the course is encouraged but optional.

  2. The Expedition Experience. For Venturer teams hiking with full packs on their own, testing their navigation and bushwalking skills. If the going gets too tough or challenging, teams may revert to daypacks, or may have a Rover or Leader assist with the navigation. Participation in activities along the course is expected.

  3. The Ultimate Challenge. For Venturer teams hiking with full packs on their own, completing an expedition log of their journey, and competing for the Trophy. Participation in activities along the course is essential.
